I first came across this idea in the works of Alan Watts. The first time he stated it, I was blown away! It only took me a nanosecond to realize how true it is.
We think we live in the present, but we really live in the nanoseconds of the past. No matter how hard we try to catch up to right now, we're always, at least, one moment behind.
Trying to capture the present moment is as elusive as trying to capture one's shadow,
