Ya know, I've had people ask me that same question. And really, what business is it of anyone else? Religion or non-religion is a personal choice. It shouldn't matter to anyone else, one way or the other.
True! and there it is on all the forms and applications.
And then there are those who openly display their choice on T-Shirts, stickers, buildings, charity donations...
Maybe a forehead tattoo with "98% sure there is no god but still go on christmas just in case"
or "positive it is all energy and the apathetic are the devil"
or "We are all one, you and me, but no you can't borrow my car"
...I don't know why it is of such importance that it is displayed, fought over and stated on forms :)
and then "no religion" is sort of religious as is science...
