Doing

The I concept and the thought of doing anything at all are incredibly silly, induce a lot of anguish and are, obviously, very egotistical.

Imagine a vast, infinite universe of rock, slime, very very large expanses of nothing, heat, cake, chickens and humans. Now imagine in that vast, bizarre infinity, there is one human who is sitting on a sofa thinking what to do tomorrow. This is madness beyond words! an incredible mental illness. He thinks that he can act on this vast infinity and have his way! He believes that he may decide to do something and it will be done by him! And if it isn't done quick smart with some financial reward then it is failure and a very important matter indeed.

The fact of the matter is that this vast infinity is not a dead lump of rocks, water, fish and chickens floating in unfathomable space. It is a dance of what we may deem energy, it is an expression of awareness, it is matter made of consciousness and within that dance little dances take place, such as universes coming and going. Within these little insignificant comings and goings of universes are smaller, less significant dances of solar systems, ecosystems, toilet cisterns, a sofa and a man, thinking about what to do next Monday.

When you leave the dance to look after itself, life is magical. If you make plans, they may fall in line with the dance, they may not. If you don't make plans, life always works out.

Enlightenment for the selfish I

Wishing to be free of suffering and wanting enlightenment are very selfish acts of the i-ego. Although if the mind is to be wrapped up in any matter it may as well be this.

The truth is changeless, it never alters one bit. There outside of the bounds of time and space it has no action or form and no duration. Precisely EVERYTHING beyond that one truth can be said to be the mind. The mind at play and the mind obsessed over itself. When the mind has conjured up enough splits and forms it takes refuge in a body it has made and it pieces together a little kernel, a local point that it uses to refer to, attach ideas and concepts to, and it knows this as i-ego. This i-ego forms a world for itself to play in. This may be known as the subjective world of thoughts. A set of local thoughts and ideas which go to forming a world, one of stress and anxiety, or one of joy, most likely one of variation.

At some point this i-ego can be stirred from its made up self, star of its own show, world and can be given the idea of a new view, one free of this churning and change. One that is free of suffering and so on. The i-ego-mind is naturally quite interested in this, it has spent many years giving value to things and it rates this highly. It would like to buy it, have it for itself, or perhaps, if pushed, do some quick-fix steps to get it.

And so the quest for enlightenment.

However, when the i-ego is told that the world it lives is in solely a fabrication, one made of mind, it becomes a little confused and decides this thing must be learned about. So it buys books, DVD's, the company of wise or flowery people.

Time and time again the i-ego is told that it must attempt to go beyond mind, it must cast aside its ideas and preconceptions, it must HAHAHA destroy the i, the ego, the mind! It is not too impressed by this and more often than not, sits at some half way house or gives in all together.

~~

But it is not so difficult as all that. There is the alternate route. [ego wakes up to listen eagerly] but the result is the same, ego, i, and all the falsehood must go. This route is inquiry. It is best done with as little learning as possible and it must be determined, it must deter mind.

The method has two prongs: Fork one is to find the source behind the source behind the source behind the ..etc.. Until it is recognised that the one element behind, happiness, joy, sleep, thought, emptiness, pre-birth, pre-time, pre-concept, is the same. And fork two is to recognise ALL that changes, all that is transient, as the show of the mind and nothing more than mind.

When all that changes and emerges and flows and goes is seen as mind. And the unchanging root is recognised as the root to all, then the joining of the fork at the handle can take place.

How the world is

This man, David Icke, has been, is and will continue to be, the one person who can strap together so called Conspiracy, who runs the world, to a solid spiritual foundation based on the 'One Consciousness' of which we are. He is able to explain, with very well researched information, how the world is manipulated and to tie together all those things we know are wrong with the world to a very well planned agenda in action.

As we collectively awaken, we are able with each step, to see how the manipulators have been able for so long to control humanity with very simple methods.

Spiritual awakening tied to a well and broadly educated mind are the weapons we have to break free of who knows how many years of oppression.

Time to break free.

If you are waking up then get the info that you won't get from TV.

Oh, and sell the TV too, buy some green tea.

Alan Watts discusses the truth of who you really are

Buddha torrents does it again with this Alan Watts talk.

It is another recording of Alan Watts and his ability to be entertaining and clear in making digestible the ideas of Eastern Philosophy to a Western audience.

He covers mainly here the idea of how we are not just the skin bag and the minimal acts that you "do" but in truth you are the whole.

There is good reason it does not make sense

Nothing exists.

I go to the shops and buy a bottle of milk.

Nothing exists.

Tom and Jerry was a funny cartoon.

Nothing exists.

Let's meet in the park at 3pm.

~~~
Seen from the perspective where only truth exists then nothing exists, even something called truth. This is the core message, 'The Tao that can be told is not the Tao'. Relatively speaking, in the world of our minds, everything exists. Even dreams can have a lasting impact as if they existed "I dreamed you had died, oh I'm so happy to see you".
In the world of mind everything exists, yet in relative mind world we are told that all exists only due to and alongside the existence of an opposite, which in truth is an inseparable complementary: Good-Bad, Happy-Sad, Love-Hate, Empty-Full, High-Low, ... None can exist alone, so none have a reality in themselves, only in the world of relative mind.
I feel like I am talking in baby language here but when I take steps from the playpark to the grownup level of "ok phsyconaughts, on with the 3rd eye shades let's see where we can go here" I feel I meet resistance or lose the message.
There is though good reason why none of it makes sense and why the basic concepts sound simple. A number of gifted writers, only a few in the history of books that made it down to us here, were able to write concise, pointed, direct statements true to the ultimate nature of the Universe. True as can be but not so deep as to lose meaning. Much of the rest comes off as psycobabble and is cast off.
The analogies for that above problem are ones like "A book on sex vs sex", or the same for chocolate, or a certain painting, view, experience. Words don't cut it and even if they did they have so much room for interpretation. We think in the language available to us and our language simply has no ability to explain the ultimate truth of it all. When we try to explain anything over some basic concepts it becomes "Ok, I'm not getting anywhere explaining chocolate, lets try explaining milk, sugar and cocoa and the concept of mixing and heating..." and then asking the listener to now form the same image in mind as you have - yet you know what you're aiming at and they don't.
To then move on to the taste of chocolate, still in words is madness. Further still with the truth of the awakened view as the message you aim at passing on you are in the ridiculous position of explaining something free of duality by explaining to a fake entity how to experience something non-dual - experience and experiencer of whom the complementary pair are the truth and the dualism that is their manifestation is the very barrier to that truth.
So many guides chose nonsense, jokes, silence, tests, pointing and more indirect methods and these are perfect but they grate with the person who considers themselves a rational thinker. They argue how by this being irrational it can not be worth their valuable time. And with every ego affirming statement they make they reinforce the very walls you aim to break down.
"This understanding has never been easy in any civilisation; probably in no other has it been so difficult or rare, surrounded as we are from birth by people so firmly convinced of the reality of their individual entity. ...
Even an intellectual understanding of the inexistence of our 'selves' is a rare and bitter attainment which few even attempt. And that is only the elimination round which qualifies us for access to Reality."
www
Reality is exactly this. This now.
Conceptualised, rationalised, materialised, quantified, qualified, given projections into time, reason, depth, breadth, it is not.
No thing is
"From the beginning not a thing is"
Hui Neng
There has never been such a thing as space or time or form. These are all concepts of the mind.
Without appearance of what seem to be "things", then we would not form this appearance of "time".
Things are formed from depth. Without a perception, idea, concoction as depth then there would be no forms.
From an absolutely flat image we project depth and time.
Take a second to see the flatness. The image in front of your eyes now has no depth or time. It is perfectly flat. You have done this from birth though so you will insist it has depth and duration. But they are not present and are being cast out there by you.
Also the flatness only has reality as you spread out a dot. You don't see the dot on your retina, you project the reality as being very much bigger than that dot. You project it "outside" of you to give it room to be as large as possible. You project this big flat area of colour, project it "out there" and then you map out the colours so they have depth and duration.
This dot of light on your retina. The photons are both at source and on your retina at the same time. The same photon is beaming out of the light bulb and being registered on your retina at the same time. One extremely small photon is in two places at once. You know this is false. It isn't false, but you "know" it to be false as you see the light "over there" - but you are forming that depth, space-time.
This is complete garbage until you register it as true. And at that point you see reality as what it truly is.
Physics is so mystical I almost like it
Which of these is Mysticism and which is Physics?
There is no such thing as a particle - Things are at the very most a relationship to something else.
Something is only something if someone chooses to observe it, until the point of observation, it is not anything.
There is no time and no solidity.
The only reality we have is that made by the brain. Different animal, different person, different reality.
Reality is entirely a projection.
This is no longer a philosophical quibble but a measurable, experimentally provable fact, there is nothing of any solidity anywhere.
Nothing, not one thing is separate, it only seems that way.
Your appearance and that around you is a mental projection.
There is no real, at most it is electrical signals represented to us by our brain.
The universe is an electrical event, waves of energy intercept to form the stars and heavenly bodies.
There is absolutely no I.
There is nothing finite, there is no size, infinity is it.
All of the above are Physics.
now
Paraphrasing * "With no desire and no fear. There is no future."
Brilliant! The future as we know is just this idea, as is the past, not remotely real. Only now, the "u" between the bu-bum of a heart is real and the rest we make up. You see only the center of your vision, the rest we make up. Why did the Buddha constantly remind monks to remove desire? Well it lead to a whole load of nonsense where people try to be desireless and virtuous but the point behind the removal of desire is to eliminate the idea of a future. The reason to let things go is to not live in the idea of a past. These practices when correctly lived are to draw 100% of your being to now, the only reality.
* "If there were no memory there would be no Past. If there were no desire or fear there would be no Future. The Present, renewed every instant, alone would remain, and it would be eternity for there could be no Time." Wei Wu Wei
